Nokia
is currently looking for a Software Developer focusing on Splunk for our Cloud
Computing Operations and Delivery Organization (CCOD)! CCOD enables delivery through hosting and
service operations. The successful
candidate will be a talented developer with experience with a range of
programming script and languages. The
Software Developer must be able to develop high-quality, well documented,
robust applications; and execute against these applications against project
timelines.
Day to Day Role:
This role will work closely with key stakeholders to help define business and operational requirements, and translate these requirements into automated data collection and processing; Own the end-to-end software lifecycle (develop & document, testing, deploy, maintain) for data processing and analysis routine using key technologies, like Splunk. The successful candidate will manage development project schedules with a focus on Splunk, including the development, deployment and maintenance of Splunk applications. The candidate must be; willing to adapt to new tools and languages as appropriate; and have familiarity with a web operations business.
Qualifications

Bachelors
(Engineering or Computer Science degree preferred)
·
3+
years of software development experience in a team environment
·
Proficiency
in programming in Python, Regular Expressions, XML, SQL and JavaScript is a
must
·
Working
experience in an Agile Development
environment
·
Familiarity
with testing, deploying and maintaining software applications – test-driven
development experience is a plus
·
Proficiency
with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
·
Strong
Communication Skills (includes the ability to present to a variety of
stakeholders and translate technical requirements into business requirements)
·
Team
centered with the ability to work well with cross functional teams
Preferred
·
Perl
and RubyonRails is a plus
·
Working
experience with Splunk is a plus
·
Familiarity
with Hadoop, HIVE, HBase, Node.js, HTML5, Java preferred
